I write poetry, mostly for performance. I try to destabilise things, the comfortable fictions and convenient arguments we make to feel good about ourselves. I do so through the mediums of slam poetry, modernist poetry and surrealist poetry. I am not explicitly political, but I believe poetry must say something about how we might live.

Currently, I'm running Canberra Slambouree with Fi and some friends.

In 2013, I was the ACT poetry champion and finalist at the Australian Poetry Slam. I have performed as a feature act at Canberra based poetry events, including Bloody Lips (supporting Derrick Brown), Word Co-Op (supporting Candy Royale) and BAD!SLAM!NO!BISCUIT!. I have also performed with roving poets The Tragic Troubadours at the National Folk Festival, the Woodford Folk Festival and You Are Here. I am unpublished. I have never sought publication. I am thinking about it.

You can see me, with poets Eleanor Malbon, Amelia Filmer-Sankey, Zoe Anderson and CJ Bowerbird, doing poety at TEDx Canberra here
